School Program

School Program

Despite being one of the fastest growing economies, we are still struggling towards meeting the challenge of ensuring even basic universal elementary education for all. We have a significant task of mainstreaming a huge chunk of population into education continuum. HWCT’s key challenges and areas of concern are development of innovation and focused efforts for overcoming the same, which includes the following:

  • Establishing basic infrastructure
  • Ensuring functional amenities
  • Increasing availability of trained teachers
  • Improving quality of teaching-learning
  • Strengthening pedagogies and research
  • Introducing technology driven learning opportunities
  • Building community-owned/driven education
  • Developing strong public-private partnerships
  • Creating environment for inclusion and equity
  • Eliminating disparities in education (particularly gender disparity)

To meet these mammoth set of challenges, adequate and continued financial (and supporting) resources are of paramount importance. Our School Program focuses on creating a conducive environment in school by building capacities of students in grades IV – X and key stakeholders like parents and teachers for enabling students to make informed decisions pertaining to their further education, career and life. We leverage our long-standing partnerships, dedicated schools and skill resources to build community-driven solutions, spark life-changing innovations and elevate ideas with the help of individuals & social groups in the communities around the area of our work.
