We found an injured cat in the streets of Malvani. It was lying in a puddle of blood, at the very corner of the street, desperate for help, but unable to move. People crowded around her but nobody came forward to help her. Team HWCT decided to rescue her.

The cat was probably hit by a car or any heavy vehicle. The cat had severely injured limbs and a deep cut on its neck! We were worried about the cat and doubted whether the cat would be able to survive or not!

Our team decided to take her to the nearest Veterinary Hospital for treatment. We used a clean cloth to hold her and immediately took her to the Veterinary care center, where she was operated for more than two hours.

The doctor informed us that the right limb of the cat was severely damaged and it might take months before she could actually walk without help! Moreover, she suffered from a spiral injury and needed assistance in walking, feeding and moving. We felt very sorry for the cat. After her operation, we fed her with some milk and bread. The young kid was very strong and cooperative. Although she was in much pain and had many bandages around her neck and legs, she still let us feed her and pat her head.

After 2 months of extensive exercise and care by the HWCT team, she was finally able to walk again! She could now walk on her own, without any support! We were so happy to see “Alisa” walk and play with us. She was very playful. Now, our young beautiful Alisa lives with her foster parents and a sister cat named Larry.  This was how HWCT helped rescue “Alisa” and help her find a new home!
