“HWCT helps in Distribution of Food”- Kamakshi Verma
Sunanda lives in Malvani, Malad, with her two children, Sameer and Indra. Sunanda used to work in a textile industry, till the day she lost her job due to the lockdown. Her husband, Ram Kamal, died long time ago in a car accident; therefore, Sunanda was the sole earner of her family.
During the initial periods of lockdown, the family had enough resources to meet their daily needs, but, slowly the resources declined and Sunanda felt the need for another solution. She turned to her relatives and neighbors for help, but none was able to offer help due to scarce resources and the nationwide lockdown.
“I was in a state of shock and hopelessness. I couldn’t figure out any solution. Who will help us? How are we going to live without food? These were the questions that were plaguing my mind for a long period of time! But, even in these tough times, Indra and Sameer were very patient and strong. Indra told me about the Human Welfare Charitable Trust and how this organization provides help and support to the people struck in the pandemic situation. We contacted them and they were willing to listen to us and help us in all the possible ways”, Sunanda stated.
We supported Sunanda’s family by providing them with food kits and grocery items that would last for 4 months. “Indra and Sameer are very happy. I would like to thank HWCT for their support and help to all the needy people out there!”
Covid-19 pandemic is something that has never been on the Earth before, therefore, no country, no people, were prepared for it, but, as humans it is our sole duty to help others humans in tough times and this is what we do here at Human Welfare Charitable Trust!
